Gater Rockers are also Gater Golfers!  And with The Honda Classic coming up in mere weeks, we thought we'd pass this along to you.  The Honda Classic and the Palm Beach County Food Bank have teamed up for “Birdies for Children.”  You can help feed hungry children and families in our community, just guess the correct total number of birdies shot at the 2013 Honda Classic Golf Tournament and you could win a brand new Honda.

What is a birdie you ask? – For starters, it is a very rare event (ok, maybe that's just in MY case).

A birdie is a score of one stroke better than par for any golf hole. Par is the average expected score for any given hole (typically 3, 4, or 5). PGA pros are expected to make between 1,000 -1,500 birdies during The Honda Classic.  Which is more birdies than I will ever make in my lifetime...

And by the way,let me give you this hint: Past Birdie Totals: 2007: 1,116 2008: 1,144 2009: 1,180 2010: 1,181 2011: 1,041 2012: 1,279.
