There is always a chance for artist - exhaustion or going to the well too often, when record companies release never before heard music from a musician who has passed away. That is certainly the case with Jimi Hendrix, who has had so many re-releases and never-befores too many to count. This one titled, "People, Hell and Angels" is different though, because it is culled from sessions featuring musicians outside of his trio The Experience.
Cuts include guest vocals by Stephen Stills, and features Buddy Miles andBilly Cox, best known for their collaboration in Hendrix' "Band of Gypsies. Many Gater rockers will remember a blistering night of rock and blues by the late Buddy Miles at the old Rays Downtown Blues club on Clematis. What memory that was!
