Eric Clapton told the Wall St. Journal in a recent interview that he had to practice and rehearse a lot more for this current tour - reportedly his final one - than usual. Not because he was out of practice, but because of "swimming in Antigua." Thats where his "Crossroads" treatment center is located, and he says he lost all the callouses on his fret hand. "Swimming in Antigua - there's no chance of keeping callouses."
Hey, we live by the ocean....we understand!
Clapton is currently supporting his new album "Old Sock," featuring guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Gary Moore, and Taj Mahal.
