The way Journey switches lead singers, there might just be a job for Randy Jackson, now that he's announced he's leaving "American Idol. 

Randy -- the last remaining original judge -- tells E! News, "After 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season. I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry.

I am looking forward to focusing on my company and other business ventures."  Of course he might also be looking to re-join Journey, the band he played with for many years.

This comes on the heels of a report that all four current judges are to be fired at the end of the season. Idol is suffering through its worst ratings in its 12-season history.

This sounds like great news for Gater rockers headed to the Hard Rock this weekend to see one of 2 shows Crosby, Stills and Nash are putting on.. After their 2nd show in New York this past weekend, David Crosby exclaimed, “That was the most fun I ever had with my clothes on!”
 
They turned in a 12-song set that re-arranged such classics as “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” “Marrakesh Express,” “Long Time Gone,” “Déjà Vu,” “Southern Cross” and “Teach Your Children.” 
 
Graham Nash said, “It could not have gone better.” Stephen Stills called it a “great choice of songs.”

The Bad Boys from Boston had a bad time of it over the weekend in Jakarta Indonesia.  Aerosmith canceled a show there after authorities there said they had foiled a bomb plot targeting the Myanmar Embassy.

Safety concerns were cited as the reason for the cancellation, but it wasn't clear if there was a direct connection to the alleged embassy plot.

The American rockers were scheduled to perform this coming Saturday for a nearly sold-out crowd of 15,000 in the capital, Jakarta.

The statement about the cancellation carried an apology from Aerosmith also saying they hoped to make it up to the fans one day.

Indonesian police said Friday they had arrested two suspected militants and seized bombs the suspects were plotting to use against the Myanmar Embassy in Jakarta.

Aerosmith started an Asia-Pacific tour in April with their first-ever concert in New Zealand and several shows in Australia. They're scheduled to play Wednesday in the Philippines.
